State Minority Finance Commission to be constituted soon: Koda

Ranchi, July 28 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today alleged that the previous Arjun Munda-led NDA government had been responsible for delay in according second language status to Urdu in the state.

Speaking at the Jharkhand Momin Conference state-level meeting here, Mr Koda announced his government would form a State Minority Finance Commission soon.

The Chief Minister alleged that the previous government was not committed to give the second language status to Urdu and therefore delayed the process.

Mr Koda said the UPA government would also constitute a Weaver's Welfare Committee as soon as possilbe.

Besides, a 500-bedded hostel for miority girl students would be constructed in the state, the Chief Minister said.

Deputy Chief Minister Sudhir Mahto, Education Minister Bandhu Tirkey and MP Furkand Ansari were present on the occasion.
