Orchid's MD honoured with Doctorate by Varsity

Kolkata, Jul 28: Chennai-based pharma major Orchid Chemicals&Pharmaceuticals Ltd (Orchid) today announced that its Managing Director K Raghavendra Rao has been conferred the Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) by the Thanjavur-based SASTRA University.

The honour was conferred on Mr Rao at the XXI Convocation of the University held in Thanjavur today.

The Doctorate has been bestowed on Mr Rao for his entrepreneurial achievements and contribution to the growth of the Indian pharma industry.

SASTRA (Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology&Research Academy) is a leading university based in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu offering various undergraduate and post graduate courses in Engineering, Science, Education, Management and Arts besides various Doctoral programmes.
