One dies, Israeli tourist , among 8 injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, July 28 (UNI) One girl drowned and nine others, including a tourist from Israel, were injured in road accidents while winds and fire damaged half a dozen houses in the Kashmir valley overnight.

Official sources said a girl Anjum Fatima drowned in river Jehlum near Shadipora, in Ganderbal district this morning.

They said due to strong winds, roof tops of three houses were blown away in Teetweal in north Kashmir last night. However, no on was injured.

Three houses were gutted in a devastating fire at Baktoos Gurez and Shalimar last night. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Six people, including an Israeli tourist Taligabar Yuasi, were injured when two vehicles collided with each other near Kwnar in Gulmarg. The injured were hospitalised.

Three other people were injured in different road accidents in the valley today. The injured were admitted to hospitals, they added.
