Naxal arrested in Saranda

Jamshedpur, July 28 (UNI) Police has arrested a top naxalite from Saranda forest at Karampada in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district.

Police today said acting on a tip-off, Premchand Barla, alias Sunil, was nabbed yesterday while he was going to attend the martyr's day function of a comrade.

Barla was involved in several naxalite attacks including killing of 12 CRPF jawans by landmine blast in June last year.

The state police was looking for the ultra for four years.
