Moser Baer Q1 net up 48.99 per cent
New Delhi, July 28: Leading optical and magnetic storage devices maker Moser Baer India Ltd today said its net profit has shot up by 48.99 per cent at Rs 9.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs 6.47 crore for the same period a year ago.
The company's total income also increased by 17.38 per cent to Rs 500.27 crore for Q1FY07 against Rs 426.17 crore Q1FY06.
''Despite the sharp negative influence of the rupee appreciation during the traditional summer slowdown, the optical media business performance remains satisfactory,'' said company's Executive Director Ratul Puri.
