Bangalore, July 28: CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat said the Left parties, which expressed their apprehensions over the Indo-US Civil Nuclear Deal, would clarify their stand only after studying the text of the '123 Agreement' clinched recently.

Talking to newspersons here today, Mr Karat said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had, earlier, promised to address all the 'nine points' which the Left parties had raised over the Deal.

''The CPI(M) will clarify its stand on the 123- Agreement reached between the governments of India and the United States after going through its text''.

''While studying the Deal and its related 123-Agreement, the party would scrutinise whether the promise made by Dr Singh were kept or not'' he said.

''The 123-Agreement also has to be vouched to know whether there is space to check the anti-Indian provisions embedded in US' 'Hyde Act''' Mr Karat added.
