Pondy: JD(S), RJD, NCP activists arrested
Puducherry, July 28: The activists of Janata Dal (S), RJD and NCP were arrested for staging a protest against the chairman of a private medical college here today.
The activists, demanding allocation of 65 per cent seats for government in private medical colleges and 50 per cent in minority institutions, also were prevented from burning an effigy of the chairman.
It may be noted that the three political parties had called for a day's bandh here on July 31 to press their demands.
