Grasim Ind Q1 net shoots up 64.04 per cent

New Delhi, July 28: Grasim Industries Ltd today said its net profit has increased by 64.04 per cent to Rs 511.66 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs 311.9 crore for the same quarter a year ago.

Total income also shot up by 30.23 per cent to Rs 2,512.53 crore for Q1FY07 against Rs 1,929.2 crore in the same period during the previous fiscal.

The group posted a net profit of Rs 669.67 crore for Q1FY07 compared to Rs 435.25 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal, a growth of 53.85 per cent.

The group's total income also registered a hike of 27.66 per cent to Rs 4,164.27 crore for Q1FY07 compared to Rs 3,261.81 crore for same quarter in FY06.
