Government committed to maintaining peace: Hooda

Hansi, July 28 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the state government would not interfere in the religious matter of any community but at the same time it would not allow anybody to disturb the peace of the land.

''No person would be allowed to take the law and order situation in his own hand and the government would deal sternly against trouble makers'', the Chief Minister said in reply to a question at a media conference on the Dera Sacha Sauda issue here today.

Talking about the power situation in the state, he said at present, the state was supplying 46 per cent more electricity to the constituency as compared to the previous year. He said that a number of developmental works had been sanctioned for the Hansi constituency.

Replying to another question, Mr Hooda said culprits involved in the murder of two local traders would not be spared at any cost.

Police were investigating the matter on the right track.

Earlier, addressing a public gathering after laying the foundation stone of a Rs 5.52 crore block of the Nehru Memorial Government College, he said the government was laying special emphasis to provide quality education to the students for which a number of projects were being implemented . He said Haryana would be made number one state in the country in all the fields, especially education, so as to brighten the future of the children.

He said Hansi was a historical place and its citizens had contributed during the First War of Independence in 1857 as well as in the freedom struggle of the country. He said the present state government was committed to development of this town.
