Residents of Laxmi Chhaya bldg to be shifted to tenements
Mumbai, July 27 (UNI) Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Jairaj Phatak today said 12 residents of Laxmi Chhaya building, who survived the crash at Borivali, would be shifted to tenements in the area.
Speaking to reporters, Mr Phatak said the State government had asked the civic body to shift the survivors to the tenements in the locality and the corporation had already begun the process of shifting them.
As many as 30 persons were killed and 14 others injured when the building collapsed, allegedly due to renovations undertaken by the owner of jewellery shop, situated on the ground floor of the building.
