Nikkei hits two-month low after drop on Wall St
Tokyo, July 27: Japan's Nikkei average fell to its lowest in more than two months on Friday on an overnight plunge in the U.S. market and a stronger yen, with shares dropping across the board, as investors brushed aside solid earnings results from blue-chip shares including Sony Corp.
The benchmark Nikkei average was down 1.41 percent, or 250.01 points, at 17,452.08, as of 0002 GMT, its lowest since May 25.
The broader TOPIX index lost 1.34 percent to 1,713.90.
