Heavy rains lash Mumbai
Mumbai, July 27 (UNI) Heavy rains lashed the city today after a lull of nearly a fortnight with railway commuters being the worst hit.
Commuters on the Central and Harbour lines of the Central Railway had a tough time as the rail traffic was affected with several trains running late by nearly half an hour due to water logging on the tracks at Kurla, Chunabhatti and Thane, a CR spokesperson said tonight.
Several low-lying areas in the north-east suburbs were flooded affecting normal life there.
The weather bureau has forecast more rains in the next 24 hours.
