Hyderabad, July 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today remained ''non-committal'' on the demand of Congress leaders from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema for retention of non-local employees served with transfer orders, by creating supernumenary posts in Hyderabad itself.

Expressing concern over ''sudden implementation of GO 610 within a timeframe'' by serving transfer orders to thousands of Andhra employees working in Telangana, particularly in Hyderabad for the last 30 years, 65 MLAs and MPs led by Congress MP Harirama Jogaiah told the Chief Minister that ''transfer after so many years of service naturally leads them to face many problems''.

Talking to newspersons here, Dr Reddy said, ''I have not given any commitment to them. I have only promised to look into their suggestions''.

While making it clear that they were not not against implementation of the Presidential Order on employment to local people, they said, ''instead of transferring Andhra employees enmasse subjecting them to untold hardships, it will be better to create supernumerary posts in their respective places of posting and allow them to continue till they attain the age of superannuation at which point of time the said post will automatically be abolished.'' ''We believe that there will not be any objection to this kind of adjustment from any side and resultant vacancies can be filled up with only locals'', they added.

The leaders from coastal Andha and Rayalaseema, who called on the Chief Minister included senior Congress leaders G Venkat Reddy, S Sailajanath and G Pratap Reddy and former Deputy Speaker B Vedavyas.
