Three kg heroin recovered from terrorist associate

Amritsar, July 26 (UNI) The Special Narcotics Cell of the Punjab Police today seized three kilograms of heroin worth Rs three crore in the international market from the possession of an associate of the Pakistan-based Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) chief Paramjit Singh Panjwar.

A team of the Cell intercepted two persons travelling on a scooter near Rani-ka-Bagh locality and recovered the drug from the vehicle which had been smuggled from Pakistan a few days back.

The two drug carriers - Harchand Singh of Narli village, an associate of Panjwar and Santokh Singh, a MES employee were taken into custody and later arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).
