Special trains under ER to be run on experimental basis

Kolkata, Jul 26 (UNI) Eastern Railway will run special trains on experimental basis between specific stations for a few months.

An ER source said 2345 UP/2346 Down Howrah-Guwahati-Howrah Saraighat Express and 5639 UP/5640 Down Puri-Guwahati-Puri Weekly Express will stop at Rampurhat station from August 15 for six months on an experimental basis.

The UP and Down Saraighat Express will stop at Rampurhat for two minutes at 1905 hours and 0156 hours respectively.

The Up and Down Puri-Guwahati-Puri Weekly Express will stop at Rampurhat for five minutes at 0549 hours and 1055 hours respectively.

For the convenience of the pilgrims of Shravani Mela at Baidyanath dham, Eastern Railway will run a number of Special trains from various destinations to Jasidih from July 30 to August 31.

One pair of special trains, 0515 Up/0516 Down will be run between Patna and Jasidih from July 30 to August 31. 0516 Down will leave Patna at 2330 hours and will reach Jasidih at 0450 hours.

0515 Up will leave Jasidih at 0930 hours and will reach Patna at 1445 hours on the same day. The train will consist of 12 general second class coaches and two second class-cum-luggage vans.

Mail/Express fare will be charged for journey by this train.

One pair of special trains, 0311 Up/0312 Down will be run on Barauni-Sultanganj-Jasidih route from July 30 to August 30. 0311 Up will leave Jasidih at 1035 hours and 0312 Down will leave Barauni at 1715 hours.

The train will consist of eight general second class and two second class-cum-luggage vans. Passenger fare will be charged.

One pair of special trains 0509 Up/0510 Down will be run on Gorokhpur-Sultanganj-Jasidih (via Chhapra) route from July 30 to August 31. 0509 Up will leave Jasidih at 1915 hours and 0510 Down will leave Gorakhpur at 2040 hours.

The train will consist of eight general second class, two sleeper class and two second class-cum-luggage vans. Mail/Express fare will be charged.

One pair of special train, 0511 Up/0512 Down, will be run on Gorokhpur-Sultanganj-Jasidih (Via Narkatiaganj) route from August 8 to 30. 0511 Up will leave Jasidih at 0730 hours and 0512 Down will leave Gorokhpur at 0910 hours.

The train will consist of eight general second-class, two sleeper-class and two second-class-cum-luggage vans. Mail/Express fare will be charged.

One pair of MEMU Passenger trains will run on Asansol-Jasidih- Asansol route from July 31 to August 30. The Up train will leave Asansol at 1425 hours and the Down train will leave Jasidih at 1700 hours.

Meanwhile, 8409 Up Sri Jagannath Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 2115 hours instead of 1900 hours today due to late running of corresponding train.

Besides, a suitable number of shuttle MEMU Passenger trains will be run on Jasidih-Baidyanath Dham-Jasidih route for the benefit of the pilgrims of Shravani Mela.
