Reallocation of power meters on full swing in Haryana

Hisar, July 26 (UNI) Under its ongoing campaign for reallocation of meters from consumers' premises, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has completed the work of shifting electricity meters outside the premises of consumers in all the government colonies in Hisar, Mohendragarh, Rewari, Gurgaon, Mewat and Faridabad districts.

A DHBVN spokesman informed that the shifting of meters was being done in phased manner. He said that in first phase, the meters of all government colonies and posh colonies of urban areas would be reallocated and thereafter other areas would be covered under the campaign for reallocation of meters.

With the reallocation of meters, there would be minimum interference of electricity officials in the privacy of consumers and also routine irritants like wrong billing, accumulating reading, etc would be avoided, the spokesman said.
