Manmohan Singh to call on President today

New Delhi, July 26: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will call on President Pratibha Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan this evening.

This will be the first formal call by Dr Singh on Mrs Patil after her assumption of office yesterday.

Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar had called on Mrs Patil and congratulated her.
