Most colleges remain closed to protest against assault on Professor

Dharwad, July 26 (UNI) Nearly all colleges in the twin city of Hubli-Dharwad remained closed today following a strike by teachers associations.

Teachers organizations had given the call protesting against a case relating to an attack on the principal of a local college here on Tuesday. They also wanted the authorities to send all the three persons responsible for the attack out of the twin city. The trio had allegedly forcibly entered the residence of Prof. N G Chachadi and assaulted him.
