Kerala HC quashes Calicut Varsity Registrar order

Kochi, July 26 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today quashed the order of the Registrar of Calicut University cancelling the affiliation of two engineering colleges.

Mr Justice S Sirijagan held the Registrar passed the order, cancelling the affiliation of the Kodakara Sahrudaya Engineering College and Jothy Engineering College, Cheruthuruthy, without placing the decision before the syndicate.

The court further observed the Registrar of Calicut University had no power to cancel the college affiliation.
