Dr A P J Abdul Kalam's new website launched

Chennai, July 26: Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, who demitted office as President, today launched his new website www.abdulkalam.com to continue his interaction with students and his fans. The website was launched at the Anna University during his interaction with the students and faculty. The website has all the features which were earlier available on the President's official website www.presidentofindia.nic.in, when he was in Rashtrapati Bhavan.

It included email to Dr Kalam, chat with Dr Kalam, his speech and lectures, his profile, books, poetry, among others.

The website dwelt at length Dr Kalam's vision 2020, his inspiration, thoughts, guidance for youth, Tirukkural, tamil couplets penned by saint poet Thiruvalluvar, and his speeches.

Within a couple of hours after launch, the website had over 3,000 hits, proving to be an instant hit among the students and youth.

During Dr Kalam's tenure as President, over 250,000 visitors had browsed his website everyday. Whenever Dr Kalam visited various parts of the country the website had more than five lakh hits per day.
