Kalam to address Anna Univ faculty, students
Chennai, July 26: Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam will address faculty members of Anna University today.He will also have an interactive session with the university's students, numbering 5,000.
Kalam is expected to take up a teaching assignment with the premier technical institute, where he worked for some time after superannuating as the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister in 2001-2002.
According to Anna University Vice Chancellor D Viswanathan, the university management has arranged the same guest house for Kalam that he used during his previous assignment.
As an honorary professor, Kalam will teach aeronautical engineering, nano-technology, bio-technology and space applications, besides guiding research scholars.
Kalam was teaching 'technology and social transformation' at the university between November 2001 and June 2002.
