India, Egypt to sign agreement on criminal matters
New Delhi, July 26 (UNI) India will sign an agreement with Egypt on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters.
A meeting fo the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, today gave its approval for signing the agreement.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi told mediapersons that the agreement aimed at improving effective cooperation between India and Egypt in the matters of investigation, prosecution and suppression of crime through cooperation and mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.
