GlaxoSmithkline Pharma Q2 net up at Rs 96.43 cr
New Delhi, July 26 (UNI) GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals today said its net profit was Rs 96.43 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs 91.06 crore for the same quarter a year ago.
Total income also increased to Rs 426.82 crore for Q1 FY07 from Rs 425.65 crore for the same period during the previous fiscal.
The growth in sales of the ongoing businesses was 5.2 per cent with the growth being primarily driven by focus products, which registered a double-digit growth, said a statement.
The figures for the current period are not comparable with those of the previous period in view of the sale of the Animal Health business on July 31, 2006, added the statement.
