Four killed as water tank collapses in Barmer in Rajasthan

Jaipur, July 26 (UNI) At least four people were buried alive when an under construction water tank collapsed at Khokhrapur village in bordering district of Barmer today.

The tank, which was being constructed under the National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme at Mughalon-Ki-Thani situated in Khokhrapur village, collapsed this afternoon burying four labourers alive engaged in the construction work, police sources said.

Police and villagers later extricated the bodies from the debris.

On receiving the information senior police officials and district administration have reached the spot.
