Farmer commits suicide by consuming poison

Hubli, July 26: A young farmer allegedly committed suicide for being unable to repay loans raised for agriculture purpose in Kusugal village on the outskirts.

According to police, Bhimappa Doddamani, who allegedly consumed poison on Monday last, was shifted to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences here, where he died this morning.

Hailing from Belgaum district, Bhimappa Doddamani lived in his wife's place Kusugal on the outskirts and had raised a loan of Rs 25,000 for agriculture purpose from private lenders, according to his family sources.
