ELCOT to bring all households under cable TV network in TN

Chennai, July 26 (UNI) Leading public sector company Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) has submitted a new action plan to the government for bringing all households in the State under the cable TV network.

ELCOT officials here said the company had laid optic fibre cable throughout the State, with the capability to network all 17,000 revenue villages within a year.

The action plan envisaged connection of all villages through telecom, internet and cable TV, the officials said, adding that ELCOT was also looking to rope in private telecom companies for the speedy implementation of the proposed project.
