EIH records 50 per cent increase in net profit

Kolkata, Jul 26 (UNI) East India Hotels(EIH) Limited has recorded about 50 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 36.70 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 23.91 crore in the last year.

The company's net sale also climbed up by about 15 per cent at Rs 215.52 crore from Rs 187.50 crore during the corresponding period of last year.

The Board of Directors approved the results at its meeting today.

The company's quarterly result showed about 15 per cent revenue growth at Rs 224.49 crore from Rs 191.22 crore in its hotel business.
