This followed a request from Three Town Police Station House Officer A Narsimhamurthy to grant him more time for investigation into the case.

Mr Narsimhamurthy told the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate here, before whom the case came up for hearing, a police team would visit Hyderabad and Shirdi Sai Temple for investigations for which he needed time.

Pawan Kalyan's wife Nandini had filed two criminal cases on bigamy and dowry harassment on June 27, 2007. She was, however, not present in the court today as she was suffering from high fever, her counsel B Satayanarayana claimed.

In the meanwhile, the case took a new turn with Pawan Kalyan filing a petition in the same court seeking divorce from Nandini. The petion was filed before the Family Court Judge L D Prasad under the Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act. It would come up for hearing on August five.
