Coimbatore serial bomb blast accused arrested

Coimbatore, July 26 (UNI) Police today arrested S K Maidheen, wanted in connection with the Coimbatore serial bomb blast, which rocked the city on February 14, 1998, killing 57 people and injuring 316.

Maidheen, charged with supplying explosive materials, was arrested from Tirunelveli, where a fast track court yesterday acquitted him from a murder case.

The city police, which arrested Maidheen from Tirunelveli, produced him before Judicial Magistrate Court here, which later remanded him to judicial custody.
