Xerox Global Services announces foray in Eastern India
Kolkata, Jul 25 (UNI) To cater to the growing ''Document Management Opportunity'' in Eastern India, Xerox India Limited today announced plans to launch operations of its Xerox Global Services (XGS) division here.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravi Venkatraman, Director, Xerox Global Services, Xerox India Limited, said the services offerings from XGS would cater to three areas- Business Process Services (BPS), Xerox Office Services (XOS) and Document Outsourcing and Communication Services (DOCS).
Mr Venkatraman said through these offerings, XGS would add value to its clients business and enable them to focus on their core expertise by managing and outsourcing their entire document process.
'' West Bengal has a thriving IT industry with over 175 global players employing 15,000 IT professionals. Hence, the opportunity for the document outsourcing business is enormous in the state.
Kolkata in particular, offers value-for-money infrastructure with global connectivity and is the nodal point to span across Eastern India, '' he observed.
Mr Venkatraman exuded confidence that IT companies in this region would adopt document management services to offer competitive business solutions to clients.
Over the next six months, he said, XGS aims to engage chief financial officers of large enterprises in eastern India and roll out an educational outreach campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of document management outsourcing in this region.
