TRS stalls Assembly demanding 'justice' to Telanganites

Hyderabad, July 25 (UNI) The opposition TRS obstructed the proceedings in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for sometime today pressing for 'justice' to Telanganites in government jobs.

Holding placards, TRS members rushed to the well of the House and obstructed the proceedings after Speaker K R Suresh Reddy disallowed an adjournment motion given notice of by the party on alleged non-implementation of G O 610, about employment to local people in government jobs in various zones.

Order returned to the House after the Speaker assured the agitated members to facilitate a discussion later in the House if they raised the issue in a different form.

Earlier, Higher Education Minister D Srinivas said the process of repatriation of non-locals in government jobs in other zones was on as per the Presidential Order and as recommended by the Girgilani Committee. The agitated members could draw the government's attention to any lapses in the implementation of the G O for taking remedial action.

Earlier, the Speaker also disallowed the adjournment motions given notice by TDP on inadequate personnel in Public Health Centres, by CPI and CPI(M) on land to the poor, by All India Majlis-E-Itihadul Muslimeen on alleged delay in reconstitution of the Wakf Board, by BSP on regularisation of services of SCs, STs and minorities working as daily wagers in government departments and by the Janata party member K Ramulu for civic amenities in his home Metpalli constituency.
