Manipur: Six militants dead in factional clashes

Imphal, July 25: At least six ultras were killed in a clash between two Kuki militant groups since last night.

Police said though the picture was not clear as the fights were reported from the interior areas, it was feared that about six cadres were killed so far.

Meanwhile, PRO Assam Rifles said three militants were nabbed in two separate incidents.

Two cadres of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) were nabbed and handed over to police yesterday. The two were nabbed at Thoubal district.

In another incident, troops of 19 Assam Rifles nabbed a cadre of People's Liberation Army (PLA) and handed him over to police. Some arms and ammunition were also recovered from him.
