Nikkei hits 6-week low as Sony, tech stocks fall
Tokyo, July 25: Japan's Nikkei average fell to its lowest in six weeks on Wednesday with high-tech shares such as Sony Corp.
and a broad range of shares losing ground following a tumble in U.S.stocks and a stronger yen.
The benchmark Nikkei average fell 1.06 per cent or 191.06 points to 17,810.97, the lowest since June 13.
The broader TOPIX index declined 1.04 per cent to 1,747.65.
