Moderate quake rattles Northern Sumatra

New Delhi, July 25: A moderate earthquake jolted northern Sumatra in Indonesia late last night.

The quake, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, occurred at 2022 hrs (IST), according to the met department.

However, no report of casualty or damage has been reported.

The quake was epicentred at 02.9 degrees North latitude and 97.7 degrees East longitude, the met department added.
