LDF to approve title deeds given by Land Assignment Committee

Thiruvananthapuram, Jul 25 (UNI) The ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala today decided to approve all the ''title deeds'' given by the Land Assignment Committee and stressed that the demolition drive in Munnar would continue in full swing.

Talking to newspersons after the Front meeting, Convenor Vaikom Vishwam said the meeting had decided to recommend that the Government approving the title deeds given by the Land Assignment Committee.

On the slow down of eviction drive in Munnar, he said it was only because of adverse climate conditions and the demolition drive would continue in full swing in the coming days.

Regarding the ongoing tussle with the Christian Management on the Self Financing Professional College issue, Mr Vishwam said they were ready to hold talks with the managements without any condition.

On the move to entrust the management of schools to panchayats in the state, he said the LDF Government had not taken any decision in this regard and it was the previous United Democratic Front(UDF), which had brought out a circular in this regard.
