IT offices make arrangements to receive tax returns

New Delhi, Jul 25: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) have directed the Income Tax offices across the country to make special arrangements to receive tax returns from July 25 to 31, 2007.

The IT offices will remain open on July 28 and 29 (Saturday and Sunday) also to facilitate filing of returns by taxpayers.

A CBDT release today said that additional return receipt counters will be set up in the IT offices, including Help Desks, to assist taxpayers fill in and file their returns.

Special arrangements will also be made by the IT offices to facilitate media coverage on the occasion.
