Infosys to take over Philips BPO in a largest outsourcing deal

Bangalore, July 25 (UNI) Software bellweather Infosys Technologies Limited today announced inking of one of the largest ever outsourcing deal by taking over Philips BPO services in three countries, netting it 250 million dollars over a seven year period.

Infosys Chief Financial officer V Balakrishnan told UNI that Infosys would run the Financial and accounting services for the Philips in the Phillippines, Thailand and India with a headcount of 1400. ''This important deal will put Infosys on top five global financial and accounting BPOs'' he added.
