SINGAPORE, July 25 (Reuters) Gold fell on Wednesday on profit taking after rallying to an 11-week high the previous day, while Tokyo futures dropped on a firmer yen.

-- Spot gold dipped to $680.40/681.10 an ounce from $682.60/683.40 an ounce late in New York on Tuesday, when a record-low dollar propelled gold to as high as $$687.10 an ounce.

-- Most active June 2008 gold futures on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange fell 12 yen per gram to 2,658 yen.

-- The most active December contract on the recently launched ''mini'' gold futures contract fell 9 yen per gram to 2,645 yen.

-- The dollar was flat at 120.11 yen . The euro hardly changed at $1.3811 after jumping to a record high of $1.3853 on Tuesday, according to electronic platform EBS.

-- Dealers awaited Federal Reserve's Beige Book survey of U.S.

economic conditions. U.S. existing home sales data for June is also due on Wednesday.

-- Platinum rose to $1,322/1,327 an ounce from $1,320/1,325 late in New York.

-- Silver edged down to $13.26/13.30 an ounce from $13.28/13.33 an ounce. It rallied to a seven-week high of $13.48 on Tuesday.

-- Palladium hardly moved at $366/370 an ounce.
