Gang of murderers nabbed in Bengal

Barasat, Jul 25 (UNI) A gang of four miscreants, including a 'wanted' person, involved in several murder cases, was nabbed by police from West Khilkapur area here last night.

Police today said an armed gang had assembled near the Khilkapur playground for committing dacoity in a house when a police team rushed and nabbed four of them, including Ashu Khamai, a dreaded criminal known as contract killer.

Police after interrogating the criminals claimed that the arrest of the gang, however, prevented a possible murder in Madhya Pradesh.

Other miscreants arrested were Raju Roy, Chinmay Roy and Swapan Majumder, police said adding that the accused were produced at Barasat court today.
