Dry spell ends in MP
Bhopal, July 25 (UNI) Medium to heavy showers were experienced in several parts of Madhya Pradesh today thereby ending a brief dry spell.
''Moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea and a rise in temperature are leading to precipitation in some places.
Thundershowers are likely over the next 24 hours,'' a Regional Meteorological Centre spokesman said.
The state capital was lashed by an afternoon downpour though it recorded a high of 32.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above average. Overnight rain figures were Shujaalpur 9 cm; Susner 7 cm; Jeerapur 6 cm; Narsinghgarh 4 cm; Pachmarhi, Mandsaur 3 cm each; Semi, Rewa, Tikamgarh, Khilchipur and Shajapur 2 cm each.
