CPUJ demands inquiry into beating of journalists
Chandigarh, July 25 (UNI) The Chandigarh-Punjab Union of Journalists (CPUJ) has demanded an impartial inquiry into the incident in which Mr Umesh Gupta and Irshad Khan reporter and cameraman respectively of Janmat News Channel were beaten up by miscreants in New Delhi.
A deputation of union lead by its president Vinod Kohli today handed over a memorandum to Punjab Governor for submission to President of India.
The CPUJ the memorandum has also demanded that the culprits should be arrested as soon as possible and legal proceedings should be initiated against them.
