Court rejects incarcerated MP Pappu Yadav's petition
Patna, Jul 25 (UNI) A local session court here today rejected the petition of the incarcerated RJD MP Pappu Yadav in Ajit Sarkar murder case.
Pappu Yadav was accused to have shot dead the CPI(M) MLA at Purnea in 1998.
Yadav had earlier filed a petition under section 310 of Cr PC before Additional District and Session's Judge B M Shrivastav to make an inspection of the place, where the incident occurred.
The RJD MP's counsel argued that the spot was invisible from the place, from where the witness had claimed to have seen the incident.
The CBI counsel vehemently opposed the prayer saying that the petition was filed with a motive to delay the judgement in the case as the Supreme Court had directed to expedite the judgement.
After completing the hearing on the petition on July 21, the court had reserved its verdict and had fixed to deliver the judgement today.
