Committee of legislators to survey hospitals: Mushriff

Mumbai, July 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Law and Judiciary minister Hasan Mushriff today said a committee of both the Houses of legislature will be made to survey whether hospitals were giving free treatment to the poor or not.

The assurance came during the calling attention notice given by Nitin Gadkari (BJP) and others.

He also accepted the idea of maintaining online operations to know how many poor people were given free treatment by the hospitals, including the Bombay, Hinduja and Jaslok hospitals.

The members expressed concern that the hospitals get many facilities but these are not used for the poor.
