CM concerned over lack of fire safety norms at Palika

New Delhi, July 25 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has expressed concern over lack of fire safety measures at Palika Place, which is prone to fire incidents as of large number of furniture shops are functioning in the complex, here today.

Talking to reporters during a visit to Palika Place at Panchkuian road, Ms Dikshit instructed the NDMC to chalk out a plan of action for development of a two-level automatic parking complex at Palika Place to overcome the parking problem at the complex.

The Chief Minister, who was accompanied by NDMC Chairperson Parimal Roy, Director DMRC C B K Rao and other senior officers from NDMC, MCD and Delhi Police, directed the DMRC and Delhi Police to remove encroachment from the central verge below DMRC lines and develop it aesthetically.
