Calicut Airport opens International Arrival Terminal

Kozhikode, July 25 (UNI) The Calicut International Airport at Karippur near here today opened its newly-built world-class international arrival terminal for passengers.

Built at a cost of Rs 90 crore, the 15,000 square metre terminal has three modern and user-friendly conveyor belts for the convenience of the arriving passengers, Airport Director R Veeraswamy said.

Mr Veeraswamy said adequate number of escalators and elevators were also positioned at appropriate places inside and outside the terminal.

Domestic passengers thronging the airport from various destinations could also utilise the facilities at the international departure and arrival terminals till renovation and modernisation of domestic terminal was completed, he added The International Departure Terminal of the airport was operational from May 14 this year, the release added.
