BJP Yuva Morcha to enroll 50 lakh new members
New Delhi, July 25 (UNI) The BJP Yuva Morcha has drawn an ambitious plan to launch a new membership drive to enroll at least 50 lakh youths in the age group of 18-35 years in a month's time.
Talking to the media, BJPYM President Amit Thakar said they had targeted to make 50 lakh new members between September 11 and October 11 under a drive titled "Sapna Naye Bharat Ka".
The decision was taken at the two-day national executive meeting of the BJPYM which concluded here yesterday.
The Morcha, Mr Thakar said, had also decided to organise national level sports event for the tribal youth from all 91 tribal districts of the country.
Besides, it had also been decided to hold a cultural programme in Guwahati for the youth of the northeastern states.
Regretting that the "martyrs" who laid down their lives for freedom struggle were not given due respect in the country, he said the Morcha had decided to organise "Shahid Mela" at different places like Balia, Jhansi, Kanpur on the occasion of the 150th year of the 1857 war of Independence.
The Morcha would also organise an "Entrepreneur Mela" to showcase the achievements of the 'self-made' young entrepreneurs, he said.
