Balmer Lawrie Q1 PAT goes up by 12 per cent

Kolkata, Jul 25(UNI) Balmer Lawrie and Co. Ltd., a Mini Ratna Category-I PSE, has recorded a 12 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 20.28 crore and a 16 per cent growth in turnover at Rs 363 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.

As the company's Baord meeting today approved the provisional results for the quarter ended June 30 last, the profit before tax stood at Rs 26.90 crore, showing an increase of 13 per cent over the corresponding period last year.

The company results showed that the services businesses continued to perform remarkably while the manufacturing business showed marked improvement in performance.
