7 Gujarat PSUs to set up lignite-based power station
Bhavnagar, Gujarat, July 25 (UNI) Seven public sector undertaking (PSU)ompanies under the Gujarat government today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for jointly setting up a 480 MW lignite-based power station at Ghogha here.
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the station on August 5.
The seven companies that signed the MoU in presence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi include Gujarat Power Corporation Limited (GPCL) which will invest Rs 225 crore, Gujarat State Investment Limited (GSIL) which will invest Rs 175 crore, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) which will invest Rs 100 crore and Gujarat Industrial Power Company Limited (GIPCL) which will invest Rs 50 crore. Other companies include Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals (GSFC) which will invest Rs 25 crore, Gujarat Narmadavelly Fertilisers Company (GNFC) which will invest Rs 25 crore, and Gujarat Alcaliz and Chemicals Limited (GACL) which will invest Rs 25 crore.
