Union Minister exhorts people to shun politics

Hyderabad, July 24 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Mines T Subbarami Reddy today called upon people to shun politics in the development of state and lend a helping hand to the poor.

Inaugurating the Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign here, organised by the Press Information Bureau at Vikarabad in the city outskirts, he explained various schemes taken up under Bharat Nirman.

Every village with a population of 1000 people would get road connectivity, he said, adding that and the government had spent Rs 40,000 crore for rural road construction under the scheme.

Everyone should appreciate the efforts taken by the State Government to provide irrigation to one crore lakh acres of land in the state as the government was committed to make every village prosperous, Mr Reddy said.

Later, Vikarabad MLA A Chandrasekhar flagged off Bharat Nirman Rally particited by the NCC cadets and local school children holding placards and banners proclaiming various welfare schemes of the Central and State Govenment.
