Kerala HC postpones allotment of medical college seats to July 27
Kochi, Jul 24 (UNI) The Kerala high court today directed the state government to postpone till July 27 the allotment of merit quota seats in self-financing medical colleges.
Justice S Sirijagan also reserved for the same date an interim order on the writ petitions filed by the Self-Financing Medical Colleges Association challenging the agreement between five private medical colleges and the state government, reserving 50 per cent seats for merit quota.
The court direction to postpone allotment of seats came after Advocate General C P Sudhakar Prasad submitted that the government was going to start the allotment process today.
Justice Sirijagan also noted the order of the Supreme Court today allowing self-financing medical college managments to conduct their own entrance test on August five, 2007.
